Tim Kane

Director, Carbon Business Development

A native of San Francisco, Tim studied molecular biology at Stanford before embarking on a career in tech in New York and SF, moving into climate tech after 15 years in business development and sales roles at startups such as Outbrain and Foursquare. He most recently served as Director of Business Development at Heirloom, a CDR company working on Direct Air Capture, where he focused on structuring offtake agreements and sourcing venture funding among other responsibilities. Within the CDR sector, Tim is well-versed in technology-driven and nature-based pathways, and possesses strong expertise in global carbon standards and compliance markets. Tim lives in San Francisco, and when he's not spending time with his wife Hayley and daughter Amelia, usually is on his bike riding off somewhere in the Marin Headlands. Though he makes time to watch soccer, basketball and football when he finds a spare minute or two!
